Who was she and where did she live. I have a poem that my great-great grandfather wrote about her. I am thinking that she may have been an early sweetheart or someone he thought an awfully lot of.
She would have had to have been from either Illinois or Kansas. My great-grandfather was born in Brimfield, Peoria County, Illinois in 1860 and remained there until 1878 when he moved for a brief time to Kansas. It would have been in one of these places that he knew her before he moved to the west coast.
I have no idea whether her maiden name was Reeves and then she married someone named Croft.
Any help would be appreciated.
