Thomas Tubb(s), Thomas A. Crockett, Andrew J. Crockett, MS - TX
On 11 Nov 2008 "Family Dog" had an excellent posting on the connection between Thomas Crockett, Andrew J. Crockett, and the Warren family and their move from Madison Co., MS to Rusk Co., TX.Another family making the move with the Crocketts and Warrens was the Thomas Tubb(s) family.Thomas Tubb was on the 1830 census in Madison Co., MS (three families away from Nathaniel Warren) then in 1840 he was in Newton Co., MS.In Oct 1840 he moved to TX and was the chair carrier on 23 Sep 1841 for "survey of 640 acres of section of Nacogdoches land made for Thomas A. Crockett situated 25 miles NW of Nacogdoches more or less by virtue of certificate No. 3, 4th class, beginning at the N corner of a survey of D. Warren..."Thomas Tubb's wife, Sarah G. (born 1805 in GA), died on 12 Jul 1889 and is buried next to Andrew J. Crockett in Bandera Co., TX.It has been speculated that Sarah G. was a Malone and that her mother was a Crockett. This is another family name to put into the mix of trying to prove the ancestry of Andrew Jackson Crockett and Thomas A. Crockett.
