The Crockett DNA Project has a new member whose line goes back to Colonel Anthony Crockett. I am posting these records for the benefit of others of this line. This is the line of William G. Crockett whose grandparents were William Acton Crockett md. Laura Buente. The death record and proof of parents for William Acton Crockett may be viewed on the Missouri Vital Records link below.
William Acton Crockett was the son of William Overton Crockett and Margaret Dillon. William Overton Crockett was the son of Dandridge Spottswood Crockett and Mary Ann Vaughn. Dandrigde Spottswood Crockett was the son of Colonel Anthony Crockett and Mary Robinson.
William G. Crockett has matched Subgroup Five at the 12 marker level and has upgraded for more markers to be tested. Subgroup Five is the group which includes the Colonel Anthony Crockett line. I strongly suspect that William will match the line of Colonel Anthony Crockett at the 25 marker level as well due to the proof of the records listed below.
Another new participant, Jeffrey Don Crockett, matches Subgroup Five at the 12 marker level and has ordered additional markers to be tested. Jeffrey is a descendant of Anthony Crockett and Mary Curtis. If anyone can help identify the ancestors of Anthony Crockett, it would be greatly appreciated.
