John S. Crockett, 85, formerly of 933 Victoria Avenue, died Tuesday in Metropolitan General Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Hopewell, Nova Scotia, Mr. Crockett had been a resident of Windsor for 30 years. He attended the Anglican Church, and was a member of the Masonic Order. His wife, Mary, died in 1953. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy E. Lane, Hamilton and Mrs. Jack Thompson, of Ottawa; one brother, Asa J. Crockett, Hopewell N.S.; and one sister, Mrs. D. S. MacIvor, of Missoula, Montana. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, 895 Ouellette Avenue, with Rev. Errol J. Shilliday officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery.
