Samuel Crockett 1799-1878 Cemetery Holly Springs Mississippi
There are twenty-five burials in this cemetery. Only one stone identifies Samuel E.(Eddie)Bond born November 11, 1870 died May 8, 1877. Son of Sanford Clayton Bond and Nancy Modrell Crockett Bond (daughter of Samuel Crockett and his wife Mary Ann Hamilton).
Samuel Crockett died in the Yellow Fever epidemic in Holly Springs in 1878 is also here and so is his first wife Mary Ann Hamilton who died in 1855. Samuel remarried twice after his wife's death. Mary Ann Pace and Octavia Kirk. So more than likely their burials are here. This accounts for five of the burials.I have been going through my Crockett information finding early deaths of this family in Marshall County. So far, I have three more. Eight out of twenty-five. Please go through your family lines who remained in Holly Springs with possible burials in this old endangered cemetery.
