I wonder if you have done any research on your Mizell line?
My ggggggrandmother was Sarah Mizell (she had a brother named William Mizell he signed her marriage Bond in NC) who married Benjamin Richrdson in Tryrell Co NC on 9-30-1767 they went to Bulloch Co GA on 1770 I come from there son John Richardson who married Nancy Albritton (daughter of Richard Albritton RS)and then Mary MaHaffey John migrated to Simpson Co MS in 1807 his son James Richardson married Mary Morris in Simpson Co MS 10-11-1828
We also believe that Benjamin Was married prior to Sarah Mizell. Based on this
Now arises the possibilty that Benjamin was married before he married Sarah and that possibly Hardy and William were children of this earlier marriage, this is based upon the fact that Hardy and William are listed in 1782 as having their citizenship revoked during the Revolut ion. In a bill that was passed by the Georgia legislature in that year their citizenship alon g with Benjamins was restored. Now if Benj and Sarah were married in 1767 that would have put Hardy and Williams ages under 15 years. As part of the agreement for restoration of citizen ship Hardy and William volunteer for the militia. To do this they would have had to have been at least 16, making them too old to be children of Sarah.
James and his wife Mary and JOhn and his wife Mary all came and are buried in Jasper Co TX in Antioch Primitive Baptist Church Cem in a little town called Buna Jasper Co TX
John Richardson was the first burial in that cem.
Benjamin and Sarah are supossedly buried in Bulloch Co GA
James Richardson and his wife Mary Morris had a daughter named Clarissa "Claircy" Ann Richardson who first married her 2nd cousin Robert W Richardson and then after his death married my ggggrandfather Andrew David Crockett who was the son of Eli/Elijah Crockett and Martha "Patsy" Durdin they marired in St Tammany Parish La in 1813
I have yet to find the parents of my Eli Crockett or where he went after the marriage until Martha shows up in 1850 Jasper Co Tx
I do know that her 2 daughters Sarah and Letty/Letteha/Lily Crockett both married in Rankin Co Ms Sarah in 1836 and Letty in 1837. But they are not on the 1840 Rankin Co MS census that I can find
Martha along with a Leonard Crockett also got land in Rankin Co Ms in Feb 1840 I have yet to find anyone who knows who the heck this Leonard Crockett is
My gggrandfather was also named Leonard Louis Crockett but he was not born until 1852 in TX.
Martha Durden Crockett was from GA also born there in 1895
So if you can help or run accross anything at all on a Leonard Crockett by all means let me know.
Debra in TX
