Anthony in Croatian would be Anton, Antun or Ante There are several records for men with this name, but the last name you have is not an original spelling it would be BALKOVIC, the C has a v diacritical mark which gives it the sound of CH, IC endings mean son of. There are several BALKOVIC and BALKOVEC found at St Mary's Cemetery in Pittsburgh (this was a Croatian parish at one time) http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~njm1/sec1e.htm I can not find any Anton/Antun/Ante BALKOVIC in immigration records that would have arrived prior to Mary's birth at Pittsburgh (c.1904) But I do see BALKOVIC coming from the same area as VIZI (which is no surprise!) Valpovo. Have you found any census records? Robert Notify Administrator about this message?
