I have been researching my grandfather's family history. This is what I have come up with.
Great-Great-Grandfather ( Ivac?) was from Lic. His children are Josip, Toma, Louise, Jelena (Helena),and some others names not known.
***Josip married Ana (Matkovic) and their childrens names were Stipan (Steve), Marko, Mica (Mary), Louis, Ana, Ivan (John), Dragica (Dorothy), Joe, Ivka (Vera), and Joseph.
Stipan, Ivan and Mica settled in Gallup, NM
Marko live in Gallup then settled in Oregon.
Joseph died as a child
Louis went to Australia (i think)
Vera stayed in Lic
One other sister came but not sure if it was Dragica(Dorothy) or Ana
***Toma married Katarina (Kata) Starcevic and their children were Alberto, Joe, Kata, Donica, and 1 more girl possibly Helen.
Alberto and Joe went to Gallup, NM
***Louise was married to Charlie Tomljanovic and their children were Joe, Ann, and David. Apparently Louise and Charlie went to Gallup NM and after Joe graduated moved to Russia in the early 1930's.
***Jelena married Vinko Starcevic and their children were Joe, John, Steve, Charlie, Tony, Mary and Josephine.
They resided in Hibbing or Duluth, Minnesota.
While researching the Ellis Island records I came across a Jacob Radosevic who's wife's name was Marija. He was suppose to go to Gallup, NM to be with his brother Josip. It is not known if he was a brother to my great grandfather or another Josip. I also found that Toma traveled with a cousin Stipan Radosevic who was also going to Gallup to be with his brother Anton.
I found that a lot of Radosevic and Starcevic people went to Gibson Mining Camp near Gallup, NM and most of them only stayed a while then moved elsewhere.
If any of this is familiar to you please respond or email me. Thank you
