My great grandfather was James Douglas Crittenden born June 8, 1804 in King and Queen Co., Virginia. His father was Richard born about 1761 and his mother was Eleanor Douglas. James may have had a brother named Thomas who moved to Kentucky to become a lawyer. James was in Middlesex County, Virginia in the 1850 census. Because the King and Queen records burned in the Civil War,I have been unable to get any further information. I don't know if he ties into your line.
