I found in "Passports of Southeastern Pioneers, 1770-1823" the following information. Thomas Crittondon, Jeremiah Day and John Austin with their families consisting of twenty two persons on Board a flat Bottomed Boat, have permission to descend the River Tennessee & the other waters lying in their way to Natchez, they conducting with propriety & conforming to the Laws & regulations adopted to the Government of the Indian Department So. West point 22 May ---1803--- Return J. Meigs...I assume these are the same families you mention in your post. Do you have any information on what happened to Jeremiah Day? Did he move to TX?
