Hi Amy. My name is James Dennis Crittenden. My family is also descended from Richard Crittenden of VA from 1674. My great great grandfather was John Jordon Crittenden's younger brother. Richard possibly was indentured to VA. from England by a gentleman who sponsored Richard and other unrelated people to this country. I am trying to confirm this, if possible, through VA. records. Hopefully this could establish the beginning of Richard's journey to America. I hope this brief info may be of some help to you.
