I saw your genealogy post. I, too, am looking for my connection to John Jordan Crittenden's line. I know there's a connection, but haven't found it yet. My great-grandmother Candis Crittenden and her brother John Thomas Crittenden were the children of John Ellis Crittenden and his wives Mattie Smart and Nancy Courtney, respectively. My great-grandmother was born in Montgomery, Alabama. I have much information on John Jordan Crittenden's ancestry and his children, but little or no information on his grandchildren. If you have run across any information on John Ellis Crittenden or any other connections from JJC's family leading to Alabama, I'd be grateful to hear from you.
