If anyone has any old photos of George Ethesbert Walker's family members, spouses, children or others, please contact me. George E. was the son of Martha Crittenden Terrell Walker Tate. Martha married 3 times-1.Peter B. Terrell, 2. Jethro Walker(father of George E., Valaria & Jethro) 3. Judge Thomas S. Tate.
Martha Crittenden Terrell Walker Tate & her parents, Robert Greene Crittenden & Nancy Crowder came to Dale County, AL. and buried at Darien/Pleasant Hill Ch. on what is now Ft. Rucker Military Reservation. The graves were moved in 1942 to present day location of Pleasant Hill Meth. CH. just west of Ozark, Hwy.249. The Walker & Crittenden families owned a great deal of land that is now on the military base.
George E. Walker married 4 times-1. Eleanora Chalker, 2. Allie Bell Chalker, 3. Nancy Elizabeth Heath, 4. Missouri/Mazuria Lee Parrish. Any photos of these are being sought. I have a picture of Eleanora Chalker and would be interested in any Walker, Chalker, Crittenden & Crowder photos that might be still around. I also have a photo of Martha Crittenden Terrell Walker Tate. When she died in 1921, at age 99, her death made the front page of the local paper, The Southern Star. The article mentions her son, George Walker, and her brother, Judge (C.D.) Crittenden.
