Cindy,
I can't help you about the Texas GWC. My great grandfather lived his whole life in the old Going Snake District, Indian Territory. In 1907 part of it became Adair county, Oklahoma where he died in 1914 in Westville. After Gen. Stand Watie surrendered his regiments of Confederate Cherokee Mounted Rifles at Bogey Depot, I.T. my GGF left the army and married Martha Starr. They had two children. Walter Starr Crittenden was born in 1868. He lived his life around Claremore, OK. I think the second one was a daughter. I know nothing of that child. Some years after the death of Martha Starr my GGF married my GGM, Nancy Jane Wilkey. I know nothing of Texas Crittendens.
Chuck
