Hello
I'm Eileen, my Grandparents were Fred & Ethel Critchley (Thryburgh/Dalton), Fred was born 1903 and died 1978, Ethel (1906-98). fred's parents were Henry Critchley (1875-19740 and Alice Eccleston (1874- ?) and his Grandparents were Stephen Critchley (1842- ?) and Ellen Barker (1843 - ?). Stephen's father was Thomas Critchley.

Generation after generation were miners at Standish/Lancs (near Wigan) until a lot of the Critchley family moved to Rotherham area (Silverwood Colliery) c.1900. There have been a lot of family members killed/injured in the mines
