Hello, Harry!

Hope you're still out there and interested in the Crist family. I've only been tracing my family history for about a year, but in researching my Caldwell line, I've found a gggrandmother, Amanda Crist, and believe she and the Frederick Crist you're looking for were siblings. Also the Franklin Crist who required a guardian. All three names are part of a John Crist's household in the 1850 Brown County, Lewis Twp census.

I have not found yet who their mother was.

As your message was posted five years ago, you probably already know this and are miles ahead of me, but if you have any info. about this Crist family that might point me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated.

Also, may I ask where you found the guardianship listed for Franklin Crist. Did you actually go to the Brown County OH courthouse?

And, your last name is intriguing. I've run across it before. Are you related to any Waggoners who lived in Brown County about 1850? I've found a David Wagner (Waggoner) named in the will of a Frederick Crist who died in Cape Girardeau County MO in 1857.

Hope to hear from you. Thanks and happy searching!
Sharon
