Is it possible that Andrew's first wife passed away (perhaps either in childbirth or shortly after their son Phillip was born around 1849? And, is our Andrew the same Andrew who then married Mariah Goodman on Oct. 28, 1854 in Tuscaloosa Co.? There doesn't appear to be a wife listed on the 1850 census and on the 1860, the wife is shown as either Maria or Marie. She was a lot younger, but given the gap in children's ages, and since Maria/Marie isn't listed on the 1860, could this be a second wife?

Do you or anyone have information on Andrew Crist/Criss & family after the 1860 census?
