My family came from Niagara Co. NY
Niagara Co. NY was settled in 1816 it was incorporated in 1865
Previous tothat it was Genesse Co. (formed in 1808) which was formed from Ontario Co. in 1802
Ontario Co. was formed from Montgomery Co. in 1789. Montgomery Co. was fromed from Albany Co. in 1772 but was also known as Tryon Co. until 1784.
Albany Co. was one of teh original counties of NY State.

My family of Crist's come from Niagara Co. NY but were there in 1820's and 1830's. I have posted my line as I know it. Please let me know if anything rings a bell.
