I am trying to solve a mystery. William marr Nancy Tope 1 Nov 1839 in Jefferson Co. OH. Was Nancy marr previously to a Peter Bruner and had 1 ch? She and Wm. had 4 ch, Ellen Ann, John W., Louisa, Squire and moved to Dubuque Co. IA where they had 5 more incl twins, Hiram, Solon, Naomi, Viola, Clara. 3 died. Bruners and Crists live next to, sold land to and are buried next to each other. No dod, obit or burial spot for Wm.
