Yes, we are connected. We are cousins. Louisa was my great-great grandfather's sister. My g-g grandfather was Arad Crist, whose parents were John & Nancy Crist.
John DID come from Kentucky. In the 1850 census for Perry Co., IN it states that his birthplace is Kentucky and Nancy's birthplace is North Carolina.
I did a lot of research last weekend in Perry Co., but have yet to go through everything that I collected. However, the impression that I got was that he might have come from Breckenridge or Bullitt Co., KY, which is right across the Ohio River from Perry Co. I haven't found a link in KY yet, though.
