My husband is a descendant of Matilda Crist. She was the dau. of Adam Crist. Do not have mother's name. Matilda A. Crist b. 16 Feb 1815 in Franklin Co., PA. Marr. Henry Cook in Franklin Co. 6 Mar 1834. Died in Fayette Co., IA 9 Apr 1891. The couple lived in Hancock Co., OH from 1835 to 1855 then moved to IA.
Children: David Albert b. 17 Sep 1835; Samuel Henry b. 27 May 1838; John Reed Richard b.22 Jan 1841; Sarah Elizabeth b. 9 May 1843; Meiry Matilda b. 30 Jan 1846; Rachel Catharin b. 15 Jun 1848; Adam Crist( my husband's ggrandfather) b. 10 Nov 1850; Simon Peter b. 13 Sep 1854; Jacob b. 11 Mar 1857.
I, too, have been searching for more info on Matilda's parents.
