With regard to the "h" business. My father, William Harlan Christ,b. 9 apr 1919 at Brighton, Washington Cnty, IA told me that there was no h in the name beyond his grandfather.
I haven't been able to find any of the Christ relations. I'm trying to locate my grandfather also William (mnu) born approx 1894 location unknown. I know he died at age 56 in Iowa about 1951.
Also trying to find ggrandfather too who was supposed to be William also.
Any connections to any lines you know of?
