Hello! One of my g.g.grandmothers was Laura Catherine Crist, daughter of Gen. Henry Crist b. Virginia 1764. He was the son of Jacob Crist who went to western PA during the Rev. War and from there migrated to Lousiville,KY in 1788. There is a biography page about CRIST and the expedition. There is also info. about an indian attack, his being elected to the KY Legislature. It is written that he was friends with Henry Clay. The address for this biography is www.starbase21.com
If that doesn't get you there, go to
www.usgenweb.com and from there go to ky and then Bullitt Co. or Hardin Co. Look for biography pages. Good luck.
