Sue: There are many variations of Crisman. The closest fit to that in German is Cryffelmann. If you could find any thing with a signature of his or things of that nature maybe someone could help. Have you considered Kramer? Most of the time the spelling derived from the way it was pronounced at the time of arrival to the US and how someone might have interpeted that pronounciation.
