I have a few notes on Christy Crisp but have never been able to place in the grand scheme of Crisp families. I have:

Christy Crisp, 48, Mahala,33, James,14, Sarah,12, Eliza,10, Jackson, 8, Hamilton, 6, Wm., 4,George 3 census index, Blount Co. TN. Notes seem to indicate Christy and Mahala b. in TN?

I have a tax record for a Christy Crisp in Burke Co., NC, in 1810 but could this Christy have a tax record at age 8?

George Crisp md. Susan Hutsell on 16 Dec 1869 in Blount Co. TN.

Jackson Crisp md. Isabella Hutsell on 17 Feb 1870 Blount Co., Tn.

The interesting item is that you indicate Christy and Mahala both b. in SC? There were only 2 good possibilities for a Crisp father in 1802 in SC: Mansil Crisp, b. 1764, NC, lived Laurens Co., NC and Bray Crisp, b. abt 1740 NC, lived Greenville Co. SC. Bray's chd. accounted for and Mansil's are thought to be accounted for? There is mention of a Michael Crisp in SC along with Mansil Crisp but he disappears after a few records?

What makes you wonder if Christy and Mahala b. in SC? Probably indicated on census?
