Kelly, I too have noticed your Posts on Genl Forum. The Crisp names you asked about are not familiar to me. My lineage is also from William Crisp. I have the following:
William, born about 1700. Bray 1758. William "old billy" 1794. John Alford 1827. Sherman 1866 was my grand-father. My dad was William "Pearlie" Crisp. He was born in 1896. From John Alford on down, all of them owned land that was flooded when the Fontana Dam was built. I was on William Crisp road last summer on the way up to Hazy Brown Cemetery. David Crisp owns the boat dock on Panther Creek. He is my first cousin and has always lived in Stecoah as well as many other close relatives. My family left the mountains and settled in Asheville, N.C. So, the Charles Crisp that your father knew must be someone else. My e-mail is listed on Genl Forum if I can be of any help. Best Wishes, Charles
