Bray Crisp was born 1758 in Edgecombe County, NC the son of William Mansel Crisp. William Mansel Crisp died there in Edgecombe and left a will naming 18 children by 2 wives. I saw this information several years ago. All members of this family in the South go back to this William Mansel Crisp. Branches of the family went to Laurens County, SC, Cherokee County, NC, Burke County, NC, and Lawrence County, TN.
