Joel, Bailey, and Newt Crisp

I am looking for information on Bailey Crisp who is my g.g. grandfather. He is the son of Joel and Elizabeth (Salmons) Crisp of Floyd County, KY. I have obtained a copy of Newt's death certificate which lists Bailey as his father but his mother is unknown. On Bailey's Civil War Pension Image, it lists Mary Crisp as his widow. However, it also lists a contest widow, Emily J. Crisp. We are beginning to believe that Bailey's first marriage resulted in Newt and then Bailey's second marriage w/Nancy Salmons, resulted in Anny and Hezekiah Crisp and then Bailey married Mary Baldridge Haywood and had 5 more children.
