I have quite a bit of information on my Crisp ancestory from Manes, Wright Co., Missouri. My great grandfather:(Andrew Columbus Crisp (1859)Manes, Wright Co., Missouri.- My great great grandfather: Rufus Crisp (1820 .. 1827) Burke Co., NC)-see reference in this index. (I believe that Crisptown was near Manes, Missouri and I will try to contact some of my relatives to get some more information on the area). I copied a page from the first plat book of Manes, with dates back to the 1830s through the 1890s: Andrew C Crisp, Rufus Crisp, John R. Crisp, Henry Crisp, Squire Crisp, William Crisp, John F. Crisp, and John H. Crisp ... all neighbors of each other.
