I have located a Bennet (or Bennett) Crisp in the 1820 (200010-00010)and 1830 Burke County, N.C. Federal Census. The 1840 Maco. Co, N.C. Census showed a Bennet Crisp. I also noted the marriage of Bennett Crisp to Elizabeth Holloway on 9 Jul 1813 (Burke Co. Marriage Records). As a side note, I jotted down that Bennit Crisp purchased property from the John Beard Estate on 29 Jan 1835(page 29 in the Burke Co. N.C. Abstract & Will Index: 1832 -1838).

My ancestry comes through Rufus Crisp of Burke Co., NC. - - (brothers: Hirim, Joe and Squire Amos Crisp; sisters: Elizabeth Crisp Done, Lena Crisp Richard)
