I have a John Crisp, born in what was then Burke but later became Caldwell County. He was married to Mary "Polly" Sumpter. He had 6 sons, one was Bennett. The other sons were McCajah (or Micajah) Crisp, my gggrandfather, Joel Crisp, Soloman Crisp, Hiram Crisp, and John Crisp, Jr.

John Sr. is as far back as I've been able to go, so if anyone can go further, HELP!
