Got most of the info now and it is so good to have the mystery cleared up.
I found my father's line back to Sherman M Crisp in the line of "old billy" .Sherman's son, Lonnie Crisp (siblings were Posey, Myrtie, Sally, Lana, Pearlie (Percy)) Some records include a middle name, Lonnie "Mc" or "McKinley" Crisp. Lonnie married Rosa Belle Lunsford and gave birth to my grandfather Boyce McKinley Crisp (b 1922). Lonnie and Rosa Belle divorced shortly thereafter and Rosa Belle married Dewey D Kuykendall. She died in church not long after that and Boyce M. Crisp continued to move around living with friends and family. Boyce M. Crisp married Evalene Metcalf and they had one son, my father, Boyce Alan Crisp who lives in Hendersonville, NC. Boyce McKinley Crisp (b 1922, d 1975) Evalene Metcalf Crisp (b 1925, d 2008)
Lonnie Crisp moved around a bit and married again to Laura Pressley. They had sons, Frank Crisp, and Landy Crisp and maybe one more child. I spoke with Frank recently and he also gave me the name of another Crisp who is buried in Mtn. View Cemetary in Greer. Foyst (Foist) Greene Crisp, who was an illegitimate son that was taken in by Frank's grandparents and took the name of Crisp. His mother was Lilly Greene Crisp.
I am so overwhelmed and thankful to have traced my family line on my dad's side and look forward to visiting old home areas and cemetaries soon. If anyone has info/photos you would like to share or needs info I can try to help.
