I've done much research on this family, but it seems that there is a lot of misinformation on the net, and family trees regarding this family. Spiers had 9 children, and I have found all of them and where they lived at the time of their death, all but James L.
I've been to Greene Co, AL where Spiers and wife Naomi died, leaving 4 minor children, William Mancel, Alfred S., Martha Jane, and James L. John W. Crisp was appointed their guardian.
I have copies of the court documents, and much more.
