Hi Everyone!
Looking for information on my ancestor Benjamin Crisp (b. 8/5/1808) in London, England. Benjamin left England very early on in life to be a whaler in Tasmania, Australia. He ended up settling in Nelson, New Zealand and became a bullock driver.
Fairly certain on the birth date as we have numerous contemporary written documents where Benjamin has stated himself his birthdate & place of birth. He also said that his fathers name was also Benjamin, who was a tinsmith & mothers name was Sophia.
Any help to shed light on, confirm details etc would be very greatly appreciated.
