Well, It helps a little! We both have Crisp and Whitt ancestors though, so it still doesn't help figure out which side the so-called Cherokee came from, if that's really what it is. Still trying to figure out more on Queenie and whether it's really her listed in census as colored person. Do you of any other Whitts listed as colored on other censuses? Her parents were Richard Whitt and Levisa Adkins. Do you know anything about them?
