Nancy, I am afraid you misunderstood what I had tried to say. I have a will of Elizabeth Crisp from Edgecomb Co, NC dated about 1813 and filed about 1815. It is witnessed by a Jesse Crisp and Mary Odom. In it she leaves everything (not much) to her son Jarrot. No one else is mentioned.
I know that Prescott Crisp had served as an agent or whatever for a Nancy Bennet, Mary Odom and another lady in disposing of property in NC. The ladies were in Stewart Co, Tn. Moses P lived in Hardeman Co. Tn, which is where his will was signed. Jesse was not his son. That I know of. I do not even know how old Prescott was since the only census gave a 10-20 age span at that time.
There were and are a lot of Crisp families in Pitt Co. also. I corresponded with a lady there for some time. She was a descenent of Spiers Crisp. I have a bit of information on him but could not make a connection. I can not find who Jarrot's father was.

There was also a Prescott Crisp and a Garrot Crisp in England. I had though they might all be connected. Just grasping a straws, I guess.

I can send you the contents of Moses P Crisp's will, if you would like. He had 6 children by 2 marriages: Gilbert Longstreet, Moses P, William Mansell, Ezekiel, Nancy and Lucy Jane. Hope this will help and clarify my message some.
