Am researching crippen and weir they are listed in the 1860 census for Highland Township in Vermilion County Indiana and 1870 census as well as 180 for Peter Crippen
My uncle married a Crippin and an aunt married a weir, they were Benjamin Franklin Collins and Martha and Myrtle Collins married weir/wears. I am trying to find parents of Peter Crippin born in Ohio in about 1817. He married Sarah Mowsier. There are still weirs and crippins/crippen in vermilion county indiana and vermilion county illinois
