Good to hear from some other kin. Sounds like we are on the same track with this. My name is David and I live in Whitehouse, Tx. I was born in Grand Saline, Tx. All my immediate Crim's, at least the ones I grew up knowing, lived in the Van area.
Edward/Edwin, who knows? I am finding how difficult it is to sort all this out. I have found a lot of spelling errors during my hunt. Many people added letters to names as well as dropped them, as is the case with my great-grandfather, William A. Crim (son of Thomas Newton Crimm). Can you e-mail me a copy of your tree? I would like to look it over. I find the Odom connection interesting too. My grandfather's brother, Jesse Crim, married Otis Orela Odom in Van Zandt Co.
Keep me informed on your quest and I will do the same.
