"Welcome

To begin "Welcome to the Crimean War" would hardly be appropriate, since
any war is grim and especially this dour slugging match which cost something
over a million lives, but I do extend a really warm welcome to visitors to
this fascinating topic. I will do my best to make the articles interesting
enough so that hopefully you want to stick with me as we follow the course
of the War. I will be really delighted to hear from you on the discussion
pages, however critical or provocative, and feel free to ask any questions
and make suggestions as they occur to you; please don't worry if they're not
related to an article subject. My main concern is that everyone gets what
they want from our study, and enjoys doing it. "
