Henry Cheshire - Lost a leg - Balaklava

Can anyone help me find out anything about my great, great grandfather (Frederick) Henry Cheshire. We believe he lost a leg in The Charge of the Light Brigade. His gravestone (photographed in around 1926) states he was of the 8th Hussars and "One of the Six Hundred". We know he died February 16th 1912 after having at least 9 children, but know little of his military history. Does anyone else know anything about him?
