hello ,

i am trying to trace my ancestors military career. i have this knowledage of him so far.
:
private 2051 - "Joseph Powell" in the 10th regiment of Foot, then maybe transferred to the 80th Regiment of Foot as no 2051.

He was born in birmingham around the 1820's - his father was a john Powell and mother was Mary Suckling.

He was later a Chelsea Pensioner .

i would be very grateful if ayone had any information which would help me. i eventually would love to find old photos of the military to see what he looked like.

thanks

sue
