Double identity

Two years ago I was using an Internet Messaging package called ICQ. While using it one day I had a message appeared from someone I didn't know, asking if I was "going to the party at the weekend". Mildly confused, I asked which party they were refering to. Some school party, apparently. As I'm just a little too old to be at school I asked this guy who he thought I was. "Ashley Cridland" he said. The description he gave of me was that I was a 5'4" 14 year old girl with long straight brown hair in one of his classes at school (which happened to between London and Toronto in Canada!). You can imagine my amusement when I told him I was actually a 5'9" 23 (at the time) year old guy with long curly blonde hair from the OTHER London in the UK.

It was the closest thing to mistaken identity you could get without looking ANYTHING like who you're thought to be. What was more amusing was that when I got in contact with the other Ashley Cridland and got a picture of her my mother the likeness was so close that she thought it was my sister Lucy with some temporary brown hair dye at a party.
How weird is that!

Has anyone else had a case of mistaken identity like that?
