John,

I wondered how long before we saw a Cridland forum.
It is believed that Cridland is a derivation of the Criddle name or vice versa and has obvious connections.
The Criddle family is most prolific in this area of Somerset.
I live in Taunton about 12 miles or so from Lydeard St Lawrence. My family all come from LSL and Brompton Ralph.
Did you know of Cridlands farm at Brompton Ralph next to the church? There are many other farms and cottages with the Cridland or Criddle name.
If you need any local research, photos etc or any help in this area please do not hesitate to ask.
