Hi Geoff

Thanks for your reply. All the information I have I obtained from The England & Wales Marriage Index 1837-1983. I had been searching for her for ages under the name of Amy Sims, this because I came across a book titled "Buffs and Boy or The Isles of Innocence" written by an Amy Sims and illustrated by Reginald Rivington! This was probably written about 1905. It didn't give me any infor on either of them but I thought this might be a lead. I never knew any surname for her - in letters he always referred to her as "Aunt Amy". He was my uncle and I do know that he was not married previously. Amy died in the 3rd quarter of 1933 at age 72 according to my info. I will try and track down a marriage certificate - hadn't thought about it as I only recently came upon the information.

Regards
Yvonne
