I recently visited Gasconade County, Missouri where I found lots of info on the Daniel Crider, Sr. family. Daniel married one of my early relatives, Barbara Walter, the widow of Nicholas Walter. Nicholas and Barbara lived in Cabarrus County, NC. After the death of Nicholas, Barbara married Daniel Crider, Sr. and they lived on the Walter property until 1816. During this time Barbara gave birth to six Crider children. She had four Walter children. In 1816 Daniel, Barbara, their Crider children, Barbara's daughter Elizabeth Walter Barbarick and son-in-law Frederic Barbarick all moved to Gasconade County, Missouri. Barbara's son, Peter Walter, and his wife Sarah Nicelor followed the group to Missouri in 1818. I have sent a separate E-Mail to Carlton with some info and will be happy to forward to others interested as well as post individual query responses at this site.
