In response to Joy Crider. I'm sorry that I haven't anything at all on John W. Crider. Family tradition in my Veal Family is that Caroline Veal Crider, John W's mother disappeared in either Franklin or Madison Counties, GA never to be heard from again. Caroline was a sister to my great grandfather. The family always seemed to think that she may have fallen into the river and drowned, as she tried to cross it getting from her home to her parents home. This would have been when John W was a young boy.
