These are most likely the graves of George Washington Crider and Annie Gerloff Crider. I will add this information to the next edition of the book. BTW, one of their sons was named Alvin M. Crider. Perhaps he was named for the Alvin M of 1728-182?. The elder Alvin intrigues me. The Criders came to Missouri circa 1816. At that time he would have been 88 years old! That is very elderly to make the trip from NC to MO. Also, I find no Alvins in the earlier history. Is it possible that you mis-read the dates? Do you have photos of these gravestones you could share? From the "House of Crider 2000" B. GEORGE WASHINGTON CRIDER He was born in Osage County, Missouri on 1 October 1893, married Annie Gerloff in 1928. Their children follow: b1. Alvin Maurice Crider was born in Osage County, Missouri on 14 December 1929, died on 1 January 1930. b2. Lorene Crider was born on 28 March 1932, married Walter Fowler. b3. Ruby Crider was born 16 February 1936, married first, Marvin Juedemann. She married second, Leslie Bruer. Children follow: b3a. Reta Bruer was born 22 April 1954. b3b.
