Thank-you for your information. According to my mother, she remembers that her grandfather, Henry Grady's family spelled was also spelled Crowder, but I have no idea why the name change? In the 1930, Henry Grady does show up in the South Carolina census with his wife, Nettie and by that time all of their children were in their 10+/- years of age with the exception of JB who was born still-born.
