Since you mentioned a John Crews mar to Lucy Hardwick, I want to ask you about another John Crews. I am searching for John who married Clary or Clarissa Merritt in 1790's in Campbell Co, Va or Bedford Co. Jeremiah Hatcher was also named in the record. THEN, I saw in a Ky Hist Society quarterly, a reference to "Some Georgia Pioneers, 1805". I don't know if this is a book, or what. There was named as pioneers in Burke Co, Ga, a John Crews and Clary Merritt, AND a John Crews and Lucy Hardwick! I can't recall if the latter was still in the same county in Ga.
