It sounds familiar to me. I am descended from John T. and Jenett Clemens Crews, but they did not have a child named Ida, according to the family Bible record. They moved from Amherst County to Henry County about 1815. John Crews was a son of James and Millicent Burford Crews, who had other children in Amherst, so Ida may descend from one of them. I am interested in any information anyone may have to trace the line of James Crews back further. He first appears in the Harris Creek area of Amherst County across the James River from the present site of Lynchburg about 1756, and died about 1798.
